It’s almost that time again…. baseball. The major leaguers are in Florida and Arizona right now working on the little things. Some are working on even bigger things, like making the roster. Albert Pujols is getting focused on putting good wood on the ball…. Bronson Arroyo is prepping that high kick delivery for another 200 inning season.
In this day and age, baseball players grasp for every edge that’s available. Being in great physical condition is one way to prep oneself to be the best. That’s where a well designed strength training program can pay dividends in a season that stretches to over 162 games. Sunflower seeds will be on hand…. and plenty of One Source Optimal Nutrition, a popular drink, will be used as a recovery aid. Studies have shown that chocolate milk is a great post workout drink. One Source has a little extra protein and nutrients… a great taste and a is packaged for a 12 month shelf…. life without refrigeration requirements!
Check out today’s video. It’s Part 1 of 2….and Reds Strength Coach Matt Krause gives us a behind the scenes tour of the training facilities at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio

ASAP Program Director Ted Lambrinides and Performance Video guy, Ed Cicale spent some quality time in Pasadena, California while attending this year's Rose Bowl contest. Oregon and Ohio State played a very entertaining game. A huge crowd of over 98,000 were on hand….including a couple of Wisconsin Football guys who probably have their sites set on getting out to Pasadena in 2011. Former Head Coach Barry Alvarez shared his thoughts. He coached three Rose Bowl wins out at the Rose Bowl. And present coach Bret Bielema was still quite excited about his squad's 20-14 win over the Miami Hurricanes in the Champs Sports Bowl game in Florida. He's extremely psyched about the upcoming off season and his team's progress. The Badgers will be a force in the Big Ten race next season.

Today's a great day to stop and reflect on the great job that's done everyday by the our men and women in our armed forces. They're also huge on physical training in the military. So, an extra salute from ASAP! Thanks for all you do!! Our video today is from the 2010 Rose Bowl. A quick edition of our National Anthem, performed by the University of Oregon Marching Band and flag ceremony by a U.S. Military Color Guard. A spectacular fireworks show and a Navy flyover by the VFA 22 Fighting Redcocks got the crowd of over 90,000 revved up for the exciting game. We also catch a glimpse of Head Coach Jim Tressel leading his Ohio State Buckeyes out of the tunnel! Click on the photo for a close-up look at an intense coach
The video is recorded with HD technology and audio is recorded using a Sennheiser ME66 high powered shotgun microphone…you'll hear the fireworks!!! Especially if you're setup with a subwoofer.
