  • ASAP New Year’s Salute to Our Armed Forces

DSC_0174 Today's a great day to stop and reflect on the great job that's done everyday by the our men and women in our armed forces. They're also huge on physical training in the military. So, an extra salute from ASAP! Thanks for all you do!!
Our video today is from the 2010 Rose Bowl. A quick edition of our National Anthem, performed by the University of Oregon Marching Band and flag ceremony by a U.S. Military Color Guard. A spectacular fireworks show and a Navy flyover by the VFA 22 Fighting Redcocks got the crowd of over 90,000 revved up for the exciting game. We also catch a glimpse of Head Coach Jim Tressel leading his Ohio State Buckeyes out of the tunnel! Click on the photo for a close-up look at an intense coach

The video is recorded with HD technology and audio is recorded using a Sennheiser ME66 high powered shotgun microphone…you'll hear the fireworks!!! Especially if you're setup with a subwoofer.

  • ASAP at The Rose Bowl with 1997 MVP Joe Germaine

Athletic Strength And Power video guy, Ed Cicale, caught up with the 1997 Rose Bowl MVP, Joe Germaine during the pre-game of this year’s game for an interview. Actually, the Buckeyes, due to BCS obligations,  haven’t been back to the Rose Bowl since that game where Germaine led the Buckeyes in the closing minutes and halted Arizona State’s National Championship aspirations.

During the Rose Bowl Pre-Game festivities, a flyover was performed by pilots of the Fighting Redcocks of Striker Fighter Squadron 22 (VFA-22) from the Naval Air Station at Lemoore, California. The pilots thrilled the crowd…then got back to their base, where they were quickly escorted back to the stadium so that they could watch the game! ASAP got a photo of them with Chris Ward.

RoseBowl The strength training & conditioning program needs adjustments as teams prepare for their respective bowl games.
